Hz. Mevlana was Commemorated in Beylikdüzü on the 750th Anniversary of Reunion

On December 11, 2023, Beylikdüzü Municipality organized a commemoration program at the Beylikdüzü Atatürk Cultural and Art Center on the occasion of the 750th Anniversary of Hz. Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi's passing. In his speech, Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık emphasized Mevlana's message of tolerance and love, highlighting the importance of remembering Mevlana in times of need for peace and harmony. The program started with a speech by neyzen Serkan Kamacı and continued with the performance of the Mevlevi Ayin-i Şerif composed by Hüseyin Fahrettin Dede and the Sema ritual. The event, which concluded with a recitation from the Quran, received great interest from the public. Çalık stated that they would continue to sow the seeds of tolerance and brotherhood in Beylikdüzü and that cultural events would continue.

For the first time in 100 years, a "Mevlevi Ceremony" was held at the Gaziantep Mevlevihane.

Gazikültür A.Ş. organized the first "Mevlevi Ceremony" in 100 years at the Gaziantep Mevlevihane in honor of the 815th birth anniversary of Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi. The Turkish Music Ensemble performed the Ayin-i Cem. A memorial prayer was recited for Ömer Tuğrul İnançer. Gaziantep Metropolitan Mayor Fatma Şahin, Gaziantep Governor Davut Gül, and many citizens attended. Şahin emphasized the importance of preserving Gaziantep's civilizational values and the significance of historical sites for faith tourism. Prior to the ceremony, a Mevlevi Ayin-i Şerif was held at the Şehitkamil Cultural Center. Neyzen Serkan Kamacı performed a ney improvisation, and Halil İbrahim Yakar gave a presentation on Mevlana's influence on Anatolian Sufism. This event was a significant step in promoting Gaziantep's cultural heritage and drew great interest from the public.
